Internal Oval Glove Port

Designed to provide a smooth, flush internal finish, MIP Ltd’s 150 x 250mm Internal Oval Glove Port offers a practical and secure solution for glovebox and containment applications where cleanability and ease of use are essential.

Manufactured in the UK, the assembly consists of a port, pressure ring and gasket, creating a robust fixing arrangement suitable for a wide range of controlled environments.

Standard Port Assembly

Each Internal Oval Glove Port assembly comprises:

Acetal internal oval glove port
Acrylic pressure ring
Neoprene Gasket
Stainless steel fixing screws

The assembly is secured using pan head threaded screws, which clamp the port, gasket and pressure ring firmly into position, providing a reliable seal and secure installation.

Unique Internal-Mount Design
The distinctive design of the internal oval port allows it to be installed from the inside of the screen, enabling the port body to pass through the aperture and sit securely in position. This creates a smooth, jointless internal surface, helping to minimise dirt traps and making cleaning easier.

Secure Glove Retention
The glove port features two integrated retaining grooves, allowing the beaded cuff of a glove to locate securely within the port. This design helps maintain glove positioning and provides a dependable connection between the glove and the enclosure.

Installation Information
The standard internal oval assembly is designed for installation into screens or windows with a maximum thickness of 12mm.

For applications with screen thicknesses greater than 12mm, MIP recommends the use of the External Oval Glove Port Assembly, which is specifically designed to accommodate thicker panels.

Recommended Fixings
For installation into a 6mm thick window, the recommended fixing is:

M5 x 20mm Pan Head Screws

Alternative fixing lengths may be required depending on the screen thickness and application requirements.
